ADVANCED DRY EYE CENTER – Specialist Dry Eye Treatment in Otago & Queenstown
Dry Eye Disease is especially common in the Otago and Queenstown region, where the low humidity and alpine environment increase the risk of eye discomfort.
Traditional management with simple lubricating eye drops is now considered outdated, as it does not treat the underlying cause of dry eye. At our Advanced Dry Eye Center, we take a root-cause approach to treatment, focusing on long-term relief rather than temporary solutions.
A key part of this strategy is Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, a proven and effective treatment that targets the source of inflammation and helps restore normal tear function. This interventional method is changing the outlook for patients with this common but often frustrating condition, offering a real solution to improve comfort and quality of life.
ADVANCED AESTHETICS
In addition to advanced eye care, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy also provides noticeable improvements in skin health and appearance. This treatment can:

SURGERY LOCATIONS
Vision correction surgery is performed at Southern Cross Hospital, Kawarau Park.
Minor procedures can be undertaken locally in Queenstown.
For certain subspecialty surgeries, patients may need to travel to Oasis Surgical Suites in Auckland. To support this, a $500 travel rebate is available for patients coming from outside Auckland.
